The classical furniture of Ming and Qing Dynasty is fully of solid wood in the structure of tenon and mortise, and thus the performance of the wood decides the requirements for the maintenance and layout of the classical furniture. Classical furniture shall not be arranged in any place with direct sunlight. When placing something on the furniture, it shall be cushioned with a layer of soft film, putting and lifting lightly vertically. The duster cloth of the furniture shall be clean and soft at proper temperature, without any bead or watermark left while cleaning. The classical furniture shall be regularly maintained, and in normal circumstances, it shall be waxed quarterly for maintenance. When used for a long time, the furniture shall be repaired by professionals, which enabled the structure of the pattern of furniture to be really protected.
