ObservehowmildewedandrottenthefurnitureistoseeifitcanberepairedonthebasisoftheAncientnessmaintenance.

-Removal:
Thecraftsmenintherestorationworkshopwilltakeeachpieceapart,thisisaveryimportantprocedure.Thequalityoftherestorationdependsonit.

Removeitafterwatchingitsstructure,whenremoved,theorderthatiscontrarytotheoriginalmakeupordershouldbeadopted.Thedamageoftheoriginallacquershouldbeloweredtotheleast.Thescrapercannotbeused.

Takeoffallhardwareandmetalworkandkeepthem.

-Replacementmaterial:
TheworkerwillfirstlyusesandpaperandspecialtoolstomakeeachpiecesmoothbutMax.keeptheoldlaqure,paintingandcarvingtokeepthechacratersoftheoldpiece.

Watchtheantiquefurniture’soriginaltexture,thedamagedegreeandpartstoseeifitreallyneedmaterialreplaced,ifso,thesametexture,colorandgrainareinneed.Generally,thelightcolorsarepreferred.Refinishthesurfacewithseverallayeroflaquer(Withseveraltimesofpolish).

Insuchawayitcangetthepiecesmaxkeepthecharater(Color,SurfaceDefectofLongTimeUsingetc.)ofolditem.Itlookmuchlikeoldpiece.

ThenextstepistorepairandcleanthebronzeandothermetalworkaccordingtotheyourrequestandreplacethembackontheChinesefurniture.

-Boardsjoint:
Thejoinedboardshouldbemadeanangleof30degreeswiththesideboard.Thejointwithpastepowdershouldbeoperatedundercertainpressureandtemperature;theoperationmethodistocliptheboardsfor4-8hoursfirstly,thentakeoutandplaceitfor24-48hours.Therequirementafterjoinedistokeeptheboardsstraight;nogap;nopasteprint,nocrack.

-Testformake-up:
Therequirementisthesameasthefollowingrenovation.

-Assembly:
Accordingtotheoriginalstructure,whenassembling,thetongue—groovestructureshouldbetight,theframeisflatandstraight,thesurfaceissmooth,nopasteprint.

-Therequirementofthecabinetstyleis:
1,tokeepthegapbetweenthedooranddoor,thedoorandtheframehomogeneous,generallywithin5mm.

2,tokeepiteasytoopenandclosethedrawer;thegaparounditiswithin3mm;theverticalstaysandbracketarmsshouldbeaddedinthebackorthebottomtokeeptheantiquefurnitureinalonguse.

-Therequirementofthechairstyleistojointhetongue—groovestructurewell,accordingtothedamagedegree.

-Therequirementofthetablestyleistokeepthejointoftherimandthecaptight;thebracketarmshouldbeusedin

Renovation

Operationflow:Removal--Materialselection--Replacementmaterial--Polish—Boardsjoint--Testformakeup--Assembly

-Removal:
Removecarefullyafterobservingthestructure,andthentakeefforttokeeptheChinesefurniture’sstructurecomplete.

-Materialselection:
Thesamewoodfromtheotherantiquefurnitureisinneed.Butsometimesitishardtofindinspecialcondition,Inthiscase,similargrain,texturewillbeinuse.

-Replacementparts:
AccordingtotheprocessingrequirementandtheweightbearingonthedifferentpartsoftheChinesefurniture,thepropermaterialshouldbeselected.Therequirementisnocrack,noscar,andnorottenplace.

-Polish:
Theantiquefurniturelacquersurfacecanbepolisheddirectly:Thesurfaceofthethicktungoillacquerfurnitureneedbepolishedafteritismeltedbytheblowlamp;thethinlacquersurfacecanbetransferredtothepolishingworkshoptoscarpwithscarper.

Thepolishrequirementis:1)Everypartshouldbepolishedtobewhite,evenonecornercannotbeforgotten;2)Nooldpaintprint,nooilspayonthesurface;3)Thesamecolorhue.Clickheretoviewmoreabout"RefinishingAntiqueFurniture"

-Boardsjoint:
1)Cleartheborderofthecompleteboardwithsteelbrush;2)Smearpasteonit;3)Jointhem.Thecurvedboardneedbestraightenedfirstly,thenbrushwateraroundit,andbaketheraisedsidebyfire;Afterbakeddrybyfirecompletely,itshouldbeputontheadjustingstraightshelfwiththeconcavedsidedown,oneendisfixed,theotherendwaspressedbyawoodenstick.Afterawhile,itwillbestraight.(Don’tbaketheboarduntilitisburnt,orpresstoostronglyoritwillbreak)thejoinedboardneedstobeclippedtofastenfor4-8hoursinthenormalatmospherictemperaturecondition.

-Testformakeup:
Allpartsshouldbetriedtomakeupafterrestoration.Inordertoavoidtheadditionofthenewmaterial,shorteningtheframesizeaccordingtothesizesofthedoorandthesideboardispermitted.Therequirementistokeeptheoriginalpartsandtheframestightandinorder.

-Assembly:
Accordingtotheoriginalstructure,thetongue-groovestructureshouldbetight;Thediagonaloftheframefurnitureshouldbesymmetrical;Specialpastepowdershouldbeused;Butnopastepowdershouldbeusedonthewholeantiquefurniture’ssurfaceafterassembling.

BarkMaintenance
Theantiquefurniturerestorationmeans:OnthebasisofkeepingtheChineseantiquefurniture’scolorhueandtextureeffect,somesimpleoperationcouldbemadeafterthelacqueristakenfromtheChinesefurnituretothepartsthetextureshowed.Afterpainted,thefurniturestillbelongstotheantiquefurniture.
