LeisaidsinceChinabeganopeningup,China'sforestryindustryhasbeengrowingveryfast,withitsoutputvaluein2003havingreached586billionyuan(approximately70.6billionUSdollars).
Chinaistheworld'sbiggestexporterofgumrosin,exporting440,000tonsayear.Chinaisworld'ssecondlargestsyntheticboardproducer,withannualoutputstandingat45.53millioncubicmetersayear,Leisaid.
AccordingtoLei,forestryindustryhasbecomeanimportantsourceofincomeofChinesefarmers.In158majorcountiesinsouthChina,morethan40percentoffarmers'incomecomefromtheforestryindustry.
Thefairofforestryproductsattractednearly1,000businessesandrelevantexpertsfrom23countriesandregionsintheworld.
