Amador City’s GOLDPAN Merchant Association will be hosting the first ever Amador City Antique Fair on Sunday, Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A variety of dealers, including locals Norma Scott and Sugar Henry, Putz & Murphy from Drytown and Lori Ondero’s American Roots will be there as well as dealers from Stockton, Sonoma, Walnut Creek, Shingle Springs and other surrounding areas. Booths will spill out along Water Street at the north end of town and along sidewalks and small parking areas. There will be a variety of antiques and collectibles including American Primitives, Cottage Chic, Asian antiques, art, jewelry, American furniture, garden antiques, vintage linens and dishes.
Beside the many dealers at the Antique Fair, Amador City also boasts a fine selection of Antique Shops carrying American Primitives, mining, advertising and signs, collectibles, glassware, antique quilts and textiles, architectural and garden antiques.
After hunting for a great old treasure, visitors can grab a bite to eat at Buffalo Chips, which serves hamburgers, sandwiches, ice cream and homemade pie or at Andrae’s Bakery, which offers sandwiches, fresh-baked bread, coffee, tea and pastries. Food vendors will also be available at the Antique Fair. Or, bring a picnic lunch and eat along the creek by the Little Amador Garden Railroad.
Admission for the Amador City Antique Fair is free as is the parking. Maps will be available throughout town to help you find dealer spaces, restaurants, parking and rest rooms. Maps can also be requested prior to the event.
Booth spaces are still available. A 10-foot by 10-foot space rents for $35 for the day. Spaces are limited so please reserve early. Spaces for food vendors are available to local not-for-profits wanting to raise money selling snack foods and drinks.
